We'll post our newsletters here so you can reference them on the go, or just in case one gets lost in a bottomless backpack.

SJS in the News

We have a lot to talk about, so be sure to check our News page often. Here we will share details about upcoming events, provide important reminders, and tell you all about the things and people that make us great.

Free Vision Screening

A free vision screening sponsored by the CT Lions Eye Research Foundation will take place for all grades at St. James School on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Please remind your child to bring and wear their eye glasses for the vision screening. We will notify parents of any abnormal findings.

No School

Just a reminder that Friday, September 27, 2019, is a no school day due to professional development. We have a reading consultant from South Carolina working with faculty on the new reading program, Open Court. This is a follow-up workshop from the initial workshop in August.

Snowball Dance

We invite students in 6th through 8th grades to our Snowball Dance on Friday, December 6 in the school cafeteria. Please note that we do require formal attire for the winter dance. Students will need to purchase tickets from the 8th grade class officers.

Cafeteria Windows

The safety committee recommended tinting the cafeteria windows for safety. We hired Gagne and Sign Company to tint the windows. If you are standing in the cafeteria, you can see out, but if you are outside it blocks any visibility inside the cafeteria. Great job!

Dress Code

There have been several students not following the dress code. Please review the dress code policy. As parents, you signed the family handbook, which addresses the dress code. Please ahere to the code.

Altar Servers Class
