Choral Program

St. James is offering a choral program beginning every Monday from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mrs. Aulerich will be directing the program. More information will be forthcoming.

First Day of School

The summer in winding down, and it is time to start thinking about coming back to school. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 30. Please remember students need to be in Mass uniform for a welcome back Mass at 9:00 a.m.

Summer Camp Program - Cancelled

We will not be running our summer camp program next year. A special thanks to Mrs. Benoit who organized the program and weekly trips. For complete details, please read our summer camp program letter.

Asbestos Information

Please be aware that St. James Parochial School has been inspected by an accredited inspector, as required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Act of 1986 (AHERA). 

St. James School maintains a complete updated copy of the Asbestos Management Plan in the school office. The Asbestos Management Plan is available during school hours, without cost or restriction, for inspection by representatives of EPA and the state, the public, including, teachers, parents, and other school personnel and their representatives.

New Computer Grant

St. James School applied for a governmental grant to receive computers. A special thanks to Mrs. Marshall for making us aware of this computer grant. The office had to complete numerous documents including a copy of my passport and personal information. We have received 50 computers so far. It has been a lengthy process. Carrie Benoit was instrumental in getting our computers. In addition, we applied for 43 more computers; we are waiting for a grant response.

School Improvements

We have been busy this summer with building improvements and can't wait for you to come back to school to see them. Some of the building improvements include:

  • Christine St. George repainted the Saint Theresa statue near the nurses office.
  • Repainted hallways
  • Changed and painted the front entrance
  • New landscaping

A big thank you to everyone who helped with our school improvements.

Altar Servers Class

Our altar servers class meets on the fourth Saturday of every month at 3:30 p.m. Please call ahead to schedule. We will train you, and you will serve your first mass at 4:00 p.m. with Mr. Stepalavich. For information, or to sign up, please call Mrs. Stepalavich at (860) 630-0680.
